Watch Series 6 40 mm

The Apple Watch Series 6 models introduced a faster architecture, an always-on altimeter, and a Blood Oxygen sensor (SpO2), while maintaining a similar look to the Series 5. This specific version, the Apple Watch Series 6 (Aluminum, GPS, 40 mm), is a GPS-only model and requires an iPhone 6s or later running iOS 14 or newer. It is controlled via a Digital Crown with haptic feedback. This 40 mm model features a 324x394 LTPO OLED display with Ion-X glass in an aluminum case with a ceramic and sapphire crystal back. Battery life is rated for up to 18 hours. Five standard aluminum options were offered, plus a limited edition "Black Unity" version was added on January 26, 2021, with unique laser-etching and a special band.

The Series 6 significantly enhanced health management capabilities through blood oxygen monitoring, earning recognition as a "health guardian" from users. Improved processing speeds and a brighter display enhanced daily usage experience, with fall detection even credited with saving lives in documented cases. It achieved excellent ratings for GPS functionality and heart rate tracking accuracy, while receiving top marks for ease of use.
