This A1890 Apple Watch Series 3 Nike+ (GPS+Cellular, 38 mm) is the version for mainland China, with corresponding LTE/UMTS support. Though visually similar to its predecessors, the Series 3 models pack a faster processor, GPS, a barometric altimeter, and Siri. This cellular Nike+ model allows for independent internet connectivity and features a red dot on the Digital Crown. The 38 mm device has a 272x340 OLED screen with Ion-X glass and includes exclusive Nike watch faces and the Nike+ Run Club app. Battery life is rated for up to 18 hours. Initially offered in four configurations, the lineup was revised in March 2018 and simplified in September 2018 with a price reduction. The model was discontinued on September 15, 2020.

The Nike+ partnership proved highly successful in bridging the gap between mainstream fitness tracking and serious running applications, with users praising the seamless integration of Nike's motivational coaching features. The exclusive watch faces and specialized sport bands created a distinct identity that appealed particularly to casual fitness enthusiasts who wanted encouragement rather than complex training metrics.
