When compared to its forerunner, the iPad Pro 10.5-Inch (Wi-Fi/Cellular)—and its Wi-Fi-only counterpart—are roughly the same physical size but feature a larger, superior display due to bezels reduced by about 40%. They also boast improved cameras, faster performance, and increased storage options.
Both 10.5-inch iPad Pro models have a fully-laminated, antireflective 10.5-inch LED-backlit 2224x1668 (264 ppi, DCI-P3 color gamut) touch-sensitive "Retina" display. These devices introduce "ProMotion technology," which delivers an impressive 120 Hz refresh rate for smoother animations and reduced latency with the Apple Pencil.
The 10.5-inch iPad Pro models are equipped with an Apple A10X processor, 4 GB of RAM, and are available with 64 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB of flash storage. They come in Black and Space Gray, White and Silver, White and Gold, or White and Rose Gold cases.
Other notable features include dual cameras: a rear-mounted 12-megapixel "iSight" camera for stills and 4K video, and a front-mounted 7-megapixel "FaceTime HD" camera for stills and 1080p HD video. They also support dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi with HT80 with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, dual microphones, and two sets of stereo speakers.
A Lightning port provides power and computer connectivity. A "Smart Connector" allows for a device-specific Apple Smart Keyboard. Additional input is supported via the optional "Apple Pencil" (A1603, MK0C2AM/A, US$99), offering pressure-sensitive sketching and drawing capabilities.
Battery life for this iPad Pro is rated at 10 hours of "surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video, or listening to music" and nine hours on cellular data.
This Wi-Fi/Cellular 10.5-inch iPad Pro includes A-GPS and supports LTE Advanced (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 38, 39, 40, and 41). It features an "Embedded Apple SIM" for switching between carriers like T-Mobile in the US, as well as a nano SIM slot for traditional SIM cards.
