In contrast to its predecessor, the iPad Pro 10.5-Inch (Wi-Fi)—along with its cellular-equipped sibling—maintains a similar physical footprint but incorporates a larger, higher-quality display achieved by reducing bezel size by approximately 40%. It also features enhanced cameras, quicker performance, and more substantial storage.
Both 10.5-inch iPad Pro models are equipped with a fully-laminated, antireflective 10.5-inch LED-backlit 2224x1668 (264 ppi, DCI-P3 color gamut) touch-sensitive "Retina" display. These devices introduce "ProMotion technology," which provides a remarkable 120 Hz refresh rate for smoother animations and lower latency when using the Apple Pencil.
The 10.5-inch iPad Pro models run on an Apple A10X processor, have 4 GB of RAM, and are available with 64 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB of flash storage. They come in Black and Space Gray, White and Silver, White and Gold, or White and Rose Gold cases.
Other significant features include dual cameras: a rear 12-megapixel "iSight" camera for stills and 4K video, and a front 7-megapixel "FaceTime HD" camera for stills and 1080p HD video. They also offer dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi with HT80 with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, dual microphones, and two sets of stereo speakers.
A Lightning port handles power and computer connectivity. A "Smart Connector" supports a device-specific Apple Smart Keyboard. Further input is available through the optional "Apple Pencil" (A1603, MK0C2AM/A, US$99), which enables pressure-sensitive drawing and sketching.
Battery life for this iPad Pro model is stated to be 10 hours of "surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video, or listening to music."
Please note that this Wi-Fi Only version does not support 4G LTE connectivity or A-GPS.
