When compared to its predecessor, the iPad Pro 12.9-Inch (Wi-Fi - 2nd Gen)—along with its cellular-equipped counterpart—is largely the same size physically but packs a superior quality display, better cameras, and faster performance.
Both 12.9-inch iPad Pro (2nd Gen) models have a fully-laminated, antireflective 12.9-inch LED-backlit 2732x2048 (264 ppi, DCI-P3 color gamut) touch-sensitive "Retina" display. These devices introduced "ProMotion technology," providing a 120 Hz refresh rate for smoother animations and reduced latency with the Apple Pencil accessory.
The 12.9-inch iPad Pro (2nd Gen) models are powered by an Apple A10X processor, include 4 GB of RAM, and were offered with 64 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB of flash storage. They are available in Black and Space Gray, White and Silver, or White and Gold cases.
Other notable features include dual cameras: a rear-mounted 12-megapixel "iSight" camera for stills and 4K video, and a front-mounted 7-megapixel "FaceTime HD" camera for stills and 1080p HD video. They also have dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi with HT80 with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, dual microphones, and two sets of stereo speakers.
A Lightning port handles power and computer connectivity. A "Smart Connector" is included for a size-specific Apple Smart Keyboard. Additional input is available via the optional "Apple Pencil" (A1603, MK0C2AM/A, US$99), which provides pressure-sensitive sketching and drawing options.
The battery life is rated for 10 hours of "surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video, or listening to music."
Please note that this Wi-Fi Only version does not support 4G LTE connectivity or A-GPS.
