Adhering to the design of its predecessors, the Apple iMac G5/1.9 17-Inch (iSight) integrates the entire computer into the flat-panel display's housing. This version, however, is up to half an inch slimmer and 15% lighter than previous iMac G5 models, featuring a faster architecture and enhanced graphics. As its name suggests, it includes a built-in iSight camera for convenient video conferencing.

This iMac model is outfitted with a 1.9 GHz PowerPC 970fx (G5) processor with an optimized AltiVec "Velocity Engine" and a 512k on-chip L2 cache. It boasts a 633 MHz frontside bus, 512 MB of 533 MHz PC2-4200 DDR2 SDRAM, a 160.0 GB (7200 RPM) Serial ATA hard drive, a vertical slot-loading 8X "SuperDrive", and ATI Radeon X600 Pro graphics with 128 MB of DDR SDRAM (PCI-Express). The system features a 17" TFT Active Matrix LCD (1440x900 native) display. For connectivity, it offers USB 2.0, Firewire "400", integrated AirPort Extreme, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, and Gigabit Ethernet. This model was packaged with the programmable Apple Mighty Mouse and a new six-button Apple Remote.
