It's important to know that this A2437 iPad Pro 12.9-Inch (6th Gen) supports 5G NR bands n1, n2, n3, n5, n7, n8, n12, n14, n20, n25, n26, n28, n29, n30, n38, n40, n41, n48, n66, n70, n71, n77, n78, and n79, but not 5G NR mmWave bands n258, n260, and n261. It was sold globally, with the exception of the United States and mainland China.

The iPad Pro 12.9-Inch (Wi-Fi/Cellular Global - 6th Gen) is equipped with a fully-laminated, antireflective 12.9" mini-LED backlit 2732x2048 "Liquid Retina XDR" display (2D backlighting system, 264 ppi, 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio). It is framed by a thin black bezel and housed in a slim case with rounded corners and flat sides, available in either silver or a darker "Space Gray" finish.

This iPad Pro is powered by a 3.49 GHz Apple M2 processor with 8 cores (4 performance, 4 efficiency), a 10-core GPU, a 16-core Neural Engine, and 100 GB/s of memory bandwidth. Models with 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB of storage have 8 GB of RAM, while 1 TB or 2 TB models have 16 GB. It also features a Thunderbolt / USB 4 port.

Like their predecessors, the iPad Pro 12.9" (6th Gen) models support LiDAR, external keyboards and trackpads, and the Apple Pencil 2nd Gen (A2051, MU8F2AM/A, US$129), which now adds a "Hover" feature to preview the pencil's landing spot. The front 12-megapixel "TrueDepth" camera supports "Center Stage" and "Face ID," while the dual rear camera has 12-megapixel wide and 10-megapixel ultra-wide lenses.

Connectivity includes 5G, Thunderbolt / USB 4, simultaneous dual-band 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6E) with 2x2 MIMO, and Bluetooth 5.3. It also has five microphones and a four-speaker system. Battery life is rated at 10 hours for Wi-Fi web surfing or video, and 9 hours on cellular data. This model has a software-based eSIM and a nano-SIM slot.

Compared to its predecessor, the iPad Pro 12.9-Inch (Wi-Fi/Cellular Global - 6th Gen) and its siblings have the same physical size, display, and cameras, but feature a faster processor and architecture, faster Wi-Fi, more advanced Bluetooth, ProRes video capture, and the new Apple Pencil "Hover" feature.

The global cellular model of the 6th generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro was evaluated as the ultimate mobile workstation, offering best-in-class performance with ubiquitous connectivity. The upgrade to the M2 chip provided a noticeable speed boost for demanding applications and graphics-intensive workflows. A key innovation was the Apple Pencil Hover feature, which added a new dimension of precision for creative professionals by previewing the tool's position on screen. This A2437 model featured widespread 5G (sub-6GHz) and Wi-Fi 6E support, ensuring fast connections for users around the world, outside of the US and China. Despite these enhancements, the device was an iterative update, retaining the phenomenal mini-LED XDR display and overall design of the previous generation. For new professional users or those upgrading from older iPads, it was an unparalleled creative tool, but it didn't offer a must-have reason for M1 iPad Pro owners to make the switch.
