Based on the Kihei architecture, the Apple iMac G3/350 (Slot Loading - Blueberry, No Firewire) is powered by a 350 MHz PowerPC 750 (G3) processor with a 512k backside level 2 cache. It includes 64 MB of RAM, a 6.0 GB Ultra ATA hard drive, a 24X slot-loading CD-ROM drive, and ATI Rage 128 VR 2D/3D (AGP 2X) graphics with 8 MB of VRAM. The system, with its Harmon-Kardon designed sound, is housed in a translucent "blueberry" all-in-one case featuring a 15-inch CRT display.
Unlike its predecessors, the iMac "Slot Loading" series introduced convection cooling for quieter performance and lacked an internal metal housing, enhancing its translucent look.
Compared to the iMac G3/333 (Fruit Colors) it replaced, this model features a slot-loading CD-ROM drive as its name suggests, a faster processor, system bus, and RAM (with more standard), as well as a faster Ultra ATA hard drive, an improved video processor with more VRAM, a superior sound system, and support for an optional AirPort (802.11b) wireless card.
