The MacBook Pro "Core i5" 2.0 13-Inch (2020, Scissor Keyboard, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports) is built on a 10-nm, 10th Generation "Ice Lake" 2.0 GHz Intel "Core i5" processor (I5-1038NG7). This CPU has four independent cores on a single silicon chip and a 6 MB shared level 3 cache. The notebook also includes 16 GB of onboard 3733 MHz LPDDR4X SDRAM (upgradable to 32 GB at purchase, but not later), 512 GB or 1 TB of flash storage, and an integrated Intel Iris Plus graphics processor that shares system memory.

Externally, it features an integrated 720p FaceTime HD webcam, a "new Magic Keyboard" with a redesigned scissor mechanism and inverted-T arrow keys, a customized "Touch Bar" with a separate escape key and "Touch ID" sensor, and a large "Force Touch" trackpad. Additionally, it has a high-resolution 13.3-inch LED-backlit widescreen 2560x1600 (227 ppi, 500 nits) "Retina" display with True Tone technology, and an integrated battery providing an estimated 10 hours of use.

This notebook is sold in either silver or a darker "Space Gray" aluminum housing and weighs just over 3 pounds (1.4 kg). Connectivity includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, four "Thunderbolt 3" ports (USB-C), and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

In comparison to its predecessor, this model is a dramatic departure, offering a faster processor and architecture, more powerful graphics, more RAM and default storage, and a completely new keyboard design that provides better travel and promises enhanced reliability.
