The MacBook Pro "Core i7" 3.3 13-Inch (Late 2016) is a custom-ordered version of the "Core i5" 2.9 13-Inch model from the same series, also documented separately for convenience. Besides the processor, the two models are identical.
This model is powered by a 14 nm, 6th Generation "Skylake" 3.3 GHz Intel "Core i7" processor (6567U) with dual independent cores, a 4 MB shared L3 cache, and 8 GB of non-upgradable 2133 MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM (a 16 GB option was available at purchase). It includes 256 GB or 512 GB of PCIe-based flash storage and an integrated Intel Iris Graphics 550 processor that shares system memory.
It features an integrated 720p FaceTime HD webcam, a slim backlit "second generation" butterfly keyboard with a new "Touch Bar" that replaces function keys with a touch-sensitive control and provides Touch ID, and a large "Force Touch" trackpad.
It also has a high-resolution 13.3" widescreen 2560x1600 (227 ppi, 500 nits) LED-backlit "Retina" display and a battery with an estimated 10-hour life.
Available in silver or "Space Gray" aluminum, it weighs slightly over 3 pounds (1.37 kg). Connectivity includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, four "Thunderbolt 3" ports (USB-C), and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Compared to its predecessor, this model has a completely new, thinner design, a new color option, and the aforementioned "Touch Bar" and larger trackpad, but trades numerous ports for just four Thunderbolt 3 ports and a headphone jack. Internally, it boasts a more advanced processor, architecture, graphics, and speakers, but has reduced battery life.
