The Apple MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.0 13-Inch (White - Mid-2007) is equipped with a 2.0 GHz Intel "Core 2 Duo" processor (T7200), which has two independent "cores" on a single silicon chip. Shared features with earlier models include the "scrolling TrackPad", a built-in iSight video camera, an Apple Remote for Apple Front Row software, the "MagSafe" power connector, a "flush against the bed" keyboard that does not touch the screen, and a "no moving parts" magnetic latch.

It is important to note that this model is virtually identical to the MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.0 13-Inch (White - Late 2006) (MA700LL/A). The key differences in this "Mid-2007" model (MB061LL/A) are that 802.11n is enabled by default without needing a firmware update, and it includes a DVD/CD-RW "Combo" drive instead of the more capable DVD-R/CD-RW "SuperDrive". It was also introduced at a lower price point, costing US$200 less (US$1099 versus US$1299).

Released in mid-2007, this MacBook was introduced to the market with nearly identical specifications to its predecessor but at a more affordable price point. The most significant change was the optical drive, which was a Combo drive that lacked DVD-burning capabilities; however, the corresponding price reduction made it an attractive option for many consumers. In terms of performance, the 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo processor provided a smooth and satisfactory experience for everyday use. A subtle but appreciated improvement was the native support for 802.11n Wi-Fi.
