The Apple MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.0 13-Inch (White - Mid-2007) is equipped with a 2.0 GHz Intel "Core 2 Duo" processor (T7200), which has two independent "cores" on a single silicon chip. It also features a 4 MB shared "on chip" level 2 cache, a 667 MHz frontside bus, and 1 GB of 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-5300) installed as a pair of 512 MB modules. The system includes an 80.0 GB Serial ATA (5400 RPM) hard drive with "Sudden Motion Sensor" technology, an 8X/24X DVD/CD-RW "Combo" drive, and an integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics processor that shares 64 MB of DDR2 SDRAM with main memory. It drives a 13.3" widescreen TFT active-matrix "glossy" display with a 1280x800 native resolution.
The MacBook "Mid-2007 Core 2 Duo" series maintains the same easily upgradable case design as prior MacBook systems. Connectivity is also consistent, featuring AirPort Extreme (which supports 802.11n out of the box, unlike earlier models requiring a firmware update), Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, Gigabit Ethernet, a FireWire "400" port, two USB 2.0 ports, optical digital audio in/out, and mini-DVI for external display support.
Shared features with earlier models include the "scrolling TrackPad", a built-in iSight video camera, an Apple Remote for Apple Front Row software, the "MagSafe" power connector, a "flush against the bed" keyboard that does not touch the screen, and a "no moving parts" magnetic latch.
It is important to note that this model is virtually identical to the MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.0 13-Inch (White - Late 2006) (MA700LL/A). The key differences in this "Mid-2007" model (MB061LL/A) are that 802.11n is enabled by default without needing a firmware update, and it includes a DVD/CD-RW "Combo" drive instead of the more capable DVD-R/CD-RW "SuperDrive". It was also introduced at a lower price point, costing US$200 less (US$1099 versus US$1299).
