The iMac "M4" 10-Core CPU/10-Core GPU/4 "Thunderbolt 4" (2024) model is driven by a 4.4 GHz Apple M4 processor with 10 cores (4 performance, 6 efficiency), a 10-core GPU, a 16-core Neural Engine, and 120GB/s of memory bandwidth. It comes with 16 GB or 24 GB of onboard "unified" RAM and a 256 GB or 512 GB onboard SSD, both of which can be customized at purchase but not upgraded later.
This system is housed in a very thin aluminum case with flat edges, featuring a 23.5" 4480x2520, 218 PPI, LED-backlit, "True Tone" widescreen "Retina 4.5K" display on a slim aluminum stand. This model is available in six two-tone colors—blue (pictured), green, purple, pink, orange, and yellow—plus a classic silver. It also integrates a 12-megapixel Center Stage camera with "Desk View" and 1080p video recording, a "studio-quality three-mic array," and a "high-fidelity six-speaker system" with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos support.
Connectivity includes four Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 3.5 mm headphone jack on the left edge, Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax), and Bluetooth 5.3. Gigabit Ethernet is included by default via a port on the power brick.
Compared to its predecessor, the "2024 M4" iMac is similar but features different, more vibrant colors, a newer and faster processor/GPU, more default RAM, a more advanced camera, better external display support, and an optional nano-texture display for reduced glare. By default, this iMac ships with a color-matched USB-C wireless "Magic Keyboard with Touch ID" (no numeric keypad) and a wireless "Magic Mouse". For an extra US$50 at purchase, the mouse can be swapped for a "Magic Trackpad", and the keyboard can be upgraded to include a numeric keypad for US$30.
