Technically a "configure-to-order" version of the Mac mini "M4 Pro" 12-Core CPU/16-Core GPU (2024), the Apple Mac mini "M4 Pro" 14-Core CPU/20-Core GPU (2024) is also documented as a separate model for clarity. Compared to the standard model, this custom configuration has a different CPU/GPU combination, but could otherwise be configured identically.
This Mac mini model is equipped with a 4.5 GHz Apple M4 Pro processor with 14 cores (10 performance and 4 efficiency), a 20-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. It defaults to 24 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. While the RAM is integrated and cannot be upgraded after purchase, the storage is removable, despite being officially "not user accessible." Both RAM and storage can be custom-configured with higher capacities at the time of purchase.
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax), Bluetooth 5.3, two front-facing USB-C ports (up to 10Gb/s) and a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the rear, it offers three Thunderbolt 5 (USB-C connector; up to 120Gb/s) ports, HDMI 2.1, and Gigabit Ethernet. These components are packed into a compact silver cube, measuring 5 x 5 inches in width and depth, and 2 inches in height.
In comparison to its predecessor, this model is physically smaller but boasts a faster internal architecture, more default RAM (with higher-end custom options), and more convenient, higher-performance connectivity, though with a less accessible power button on its base.
All Mac mini systems are sold by default without a display, keyboard, or mouse, but numerous Apple and third-party peripherals are available.
