The Apple MacBook Air "M4" 10-Core CPU/8-Core GPU 13-Inch (2025) model is powered by a 4.4 GHz Apple M4 processor, which includes 10 cores (4 performance cores and 6 efficiency cores), an 8-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. It has 16 GB of "unified" default onboard RAM and a 256 GB onboard SSD. Both the RAM and SSD can be configured with higher capacities at the time of the initial notebook purchase (which also automatically upgrades the integrated GPU to a 10-core version), but neither the RAM nor the SSD can be upgraded later.
This is all housed within a uniformly thin aluminum case that contains an integrated 1080p HD 12-megapixel "Center Stage" webcam with "Desk View" support, a four-speaker sound system, Touch ID, a backlit "Magic Keyboard," a large "Force Touch" trackpad, and a high-resolution 13.6-inch LED-backlit 2560x1664 (224 ppi, 500 nits) "Liquid Retina" display with Wide Color (P3) and True Tone technology.
The aluminum case is available in four colors: light "Sky Blue" (pictured, left), dark blue "Midnight," a warm gray "Starlight," and classic silver, and it weighs 2.7 pounds (1.24 kg). Apple estimates a battery life of 15-18 hours, depending on the task. By default, it comes with a MagSafe 3-equipped 30W USB-C power adapter. However, for an additional US$20, it can be configured with a 35W Dual USB-C Port Compact Power Adapter or a fast-charge 70W USB-C Power Adapter.
Connectivity includes 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, two Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 ports (USB-C connector), and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
In comparison to their M3 predecessors, the MacBook Air "M4" models use the same housings but feature a faster architecture, a higher-quality webcam, increased external display support, a new color option (Sky Blue), and lower pricing.
