MacBook Pro Retina Mid-2014 13"

The MacBook Pro "Core i7" 3.0 13-Inch (Mid-2014 Retina Display) was first introduced as a "configure-to-order" option for both the "Core i5" 2.6 and 2.8 13-Inch models, but Apple later offered it as a standard configuration as well. The processor and its corresponding larger L3 cache are the only significant differences between this model and its less powerful siblings.

This model is powered by a 22 nm "Haswell" 3.0 GHz Intel "Core i7" processor (4578U) with dual independent cores, a 4 MB shared L3 cache, and 8 GB of onboard 1600 MHz DDR3L SDRAM (upgradable to 16 GB at the time of purchase, but not later). It includes 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB of PCIe-based flash storage (with 512 GB in the standard MGXD2LL/A configuration) and an integrated Intel Iris 5100 graphics processor that shares system memory. It also features a built-in 720p FaceTime HD webcam and a high-resolution LED-backlit 13.3" widescreen 2560x1600 (227 ppi) "Retina" display, housed in a case weighing just under 3.5 pounds (1.57 kg). It lacks an internal optical drive.

Connectivity consists of 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, two USB 3.0 ports, two "Thunderbolt 2" ports, an HDMI port, an audio in/out port, and an SDXC card slot.

Additionally, this model has a backlit keyboard, a "no button" glass "inertial" multi-touch trackpad, a "MagSafe 2" power adapter, and a sealed internal battery that offers an Apple-estimated 9 hours of use.

Compared to its predecessor, this model is very much the same, but it includes a slightly faster processor and has some different identifiers.
