The iMac "Core i5" 3.4 27-Inch Aluminum (Late 2013/Haswell) is equipped with a 22 nm "Haswell" Quad Core 3.4 GHz Intel "Core i5" (4670) processor. This CPU has four independent cores on a single chip, a 6 MB shared level 3 cache, and is paired with 8 GB of 1600 MHz DDR3L SDRAM (PC3-12800) installed in a dual-module configuration. It includes a 1 TB (7200 RPM) hard drive and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M graphics processor with 2 GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory. An integrated "FaceTime HD" webcam and stereo speakers are included, but it omits an optical drive.
This model features a 27-inch 2560x1440 LED-backlit 16:9 widescreen IPS display with "cover glass fully laminated to the LCD and anti-reflective coating." The aluminum rear housing is thicker at its center and tapers to a slim 5 mm at the edges. Connectivity options comprise four USB 3.0 ports, dual Thunderbolt ports, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n compatible), and Bluetooth 4.0.
Compared to its predecessor, this model maintains a nearly identical external enclosure but is distinguished by a significantly more efficient "Fourth Generation" processor and architecture, faster graphics, faster Wi-Fi, and the option for faster storage. The "Late 2013" iMacs came with a compact aluminum Apple Wireless Keyboard and offered a choice of a multi-touch "Magic Mouse," a multi-touch "Magic Trackpad," or a conventional wired Apple mouse.
