This Apple Mac mini, the "Core 2 Duo" 2.4 (Mid-2010/Aluminum Unibody), is built around a 2.4 GHz Intel "Core 2 Duo" (P8600) processor with a 3 MB on-chip level 2 cache and a 1066 MHz frontside bus. The system includes 2 GB of 1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM (PC3-8500), a 320 GB 3 Gb/s Serial ATA hard drive, a slot-loading 8X double-layer "SuperDrive", and a NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics processor sharing 256 MB of system memory.
Connectivity features an HDMI and a Mini DisplayPort, a Firewire "800" port, four USB 2.0 ports, combined "audio line in (digital/analog)" and "audio line out/headphone (digital/analog)" minijacks, a 10/100/1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet port, integrated AirPort Extreme (802.11a/b/g/n), and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, plus an SD (SDXC) card slot.
In a departure from earlier polycarbonate-cased Mac mini models, the "Mid-2010" series introduces a "Unibody" enclosure milled from a single aluminum block. It features a "spin off" black plastic base that simplifies RAM upgrades. The power supply is also now integrated. As with other models, all Mac mini systems are sold without a display, keyboard, or mouse, though numerous Apple and third-party peripherals are readily available.
