The MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.4 13-Inch (White Polycarbonate "Unibody" - Mid-2010) is equipped with a 2.4 GHz Intel "Core 2 Duo" processor (P8600), featuring two independent processor "cores" on a single silicon chip. It includes a 3 MB shared "on chip" level 2 cache, a 1066 MHz frontside bus, 2 GB of 1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM (PC3-8500) installed in pairs (two 1 GB modules), a 250 GB Serial ATA (5400 RPM) hard drive, and an 8X DL "SuperDrive." For graphics, it utilizes a NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics processor with 256 MB of SDRAM "shared with main memory," driving a 13.3" widescreen TFT active-matrix LED-backlit "glossy" display (1280x800 native resolution).

This model employs the same polycarbonate "glossy white unibody" case design with a "non-skid" rubberized bottom surface as its predecessor. However, external enhancements over its predecessor include a new "inertial" multi-touch trackpad and a redesigned "MagSafe" power connector.

Internally, it shares the integrated, non-user-replaceable battery design of its predecessor, but battery life has been extended to an estimated 10 hours of runtime. It also boasts a faster processor and improved graphics capabilities.

Connectivity consists of AirPort Extreme (802.11a/b/g/n), Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 2.0 ports, a single audio in/out port, and a Mini DisplayPort that transmits both audio and video signals and supports an external display at 2560x1600. It does not have a Firewire port or an IR receiver for remote support.

As the final model of the polycarbonate unibody MacBook, this mid-2010 release boasted a level of refinement that could be called its culmination. It delivered excellent performance, powered by a fast 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo processor and an upgraded NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics chip. Many users expressed satisfaction with its smooth operational speed. Its most remarkable feature was the phenomenal 10-hour battery life, which was lauded for significantly enhancing mobility.
