Every iPhone 11 model features a 6.1-inch (diagonal) haptic-touch enabled LCD screen, called the 'Liquid Retina HD' display (1792x828, 326 ppi, 1400:1 contrast ratio), which covers almost the entire front surface. It is equipped with three cameras. The front-facing "TrueDepth" camera, housed in the "notch," supports "Advanced Face ID" and captures 12-megapixel photos and 4K video, complete with software features like Portrait mode and Portrait Lighting. The rear houses dual 12-megapixel, 4K video-capable cameras: an Ultra Wide (f/2.4 aperture, 120-degree field of view) and a Wide (f/1.8 aperture). In addition to the HDR and portrait mode improvements seen in previous models, the iPhone 11 also features a Night Mode.
The iPhone 11's construction includes a "low-carbon" aluminum frame with glass on both the front and back. It boasts an IP68 rating for splash, water, and dust resistance, allowing for submersion in up to 2 meters of water for 30 minutes. It is available in six colors: white, black, (pastel) green, (pastel) yellow, (pastel) purple, and (PRODUCT) RED.
At its core, the iPhone 11 is powered by a 64-bit, 7 nm 2.66 GHz "Apple A13 Bionic" processor, featuring six cores (two performance and four high-efficiency) and a "third-generation Neural Engine." It comes with 4 GB of RAM and storage options of 64 GB, 128 GB, or 256 GB (the 256 GB option was discontinued on September 14, 2021). Its connectivity suite includes 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 with 2x2 MIMO, Gigabit-class LTE with 2x2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, Ultra Wideband for "spatial awareness," NFC for Apple Pay, "Express Cards with power reserve," and dual SIM capabilities (one physical nano SIM and one software-based eSIM).
According to Apple's estimates, the iPhone 11 offers "up to" 65 hours of audio playback, 17 hours of video playback, and 10 hours of streamed video. It also supports "wireless" (inductive) charging via the Qi standard.
While pricing differs by country and carrier, the unlocked, contract-free model in the UK was initially priced at £729, £779, and £879 for the 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB storage versions, respectively. On October 13, 2020, Apple lowered these prices to £599, £649, and £749. On September 14, 2021, the 256 GB model was discontinued, and the prices for the 64 GB and 128 GB models were reduced to £489 and £539.
