Overview

Note that this "CDMA" A1549 iPhone 6 model, supporting LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, and 29, is specifically designed for Verizon in the United States.

All iPhone 6 models, regardless of network support, feature a 4.7-inch (diagonal) widescreen multi-touch IPS LED-backlit "Retina HD" display with a 1334x750 resolution (326 ppi). They have dual cameras: a rear 8-megapixel, 1080p "iSight" camera with 1.5-micron pixels, an f/2.2 aperture, and "autofocus with Focus Pixels" (phase detection autofocus), plus a front 1.2-megapixel, 720p "FaceTime" camera.

The iPhone 6 was sold in three metallic finishes: "silver" (white glass front, silver aluminum back, pictured), "gold" (white glass front, gold aluminum back), and "space" gray (black glass front, medium gray aluminum back). All colors feature a "unibody" design with rounded sides, similar to the iPod touch 5th Gen, but with glass that curves at the edges for a seamless feel. It also incorporates the "Touch ID" fingerprint sensor in the home button.

This iPhone 6 model is powered by a 1.4 GHz 64-bit "Apple A8" processor, has 1 GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and came with 16 GB, 64 GB, or 128 GB of flash storage. It also supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0/4.2, LTE (4G), and NFC for Apple Pay. It includes a bottom-mounted headphone jack and uses a "Lightning" port for connectivity.

Apple's battery life estimates for the iPhone 6 are up to 50 hours of audio playback, 14 hours of 3G talk time, 10 hours of 3G internet use, 10 hours of LTE internet use, 11 hours of Wi-Fi internet use, 11 hours of video playback, and 250 hours of standby.

In the US, this "CDMA" A1549 iPhone 6 was initially available subsidized by Verizon with 16 GB, 64 GB, or 128 GB of storage for US$199, US$299, or US$399, respectively, unlocked but with a two-year contract. On September 9, 2015, Apple discontinued the gold and 128 GB options, and reduced the price of the remaining 16 GB and 64 GB models in silver and space gray to US$99 and US$199 with a two-year contract, or US$549 and US$649 unlocked and contract-free. The model was fully discontinued on September 7, 2016.
