Overview

Take note that this A3092 iPhone 15 model is compatible with 5G NR bands n1, n2, n3, n5, n7, n8, n12, n20, n25, n26, n28, n30, n38, n40, n41, n48, n66, n70, n75, n76, n77, n78, and n79. It does not support 5G NR mmWave bands n258, n260, and n261. Designed for carriers in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao, it is technically compatible with carriers worldwide. A key difference from other iPhone 15 models is its complete lack of eSIM capability, supporting dual physical nano-SIMs instead.

All iPhone 15 variants include a 6.1-inch (diagonal) haptic-touch capable "Super Retina XDR" display (2556x1179, 460 ppi) that covers nearly the entire front of the device. It has three cameras. The front-facing "TrueDepth" camera, housed in the "Dynamic Island," supports Face ID, features an f/1.9 aperture, takes 12-megapixel photos, and shoots 4K video. The rear is fitted with a 4K-capable "advanced dual-camera system" with a 48-megapixel "Main" camera (f/1.6 aperture) and a 12-megapixel "Ultra Wide" camera (f/2.4 aperture, 120-degree field of view).

The iPhone 15 features an aluminum frame with a "contoured edge" and flat sides, along with a glass front and a "color-infused" glass back. The front is protected by a durable "Ceramic Shield" cover, and the back has an integrated "MagSafe" magnetic charging connection. It is rated IP68 for splash, water, and dust resistance (able to withstand a maximum depth of 6 meters for up to 30 minutes). It is available in five color options: pale shades of Blue, Pink, Yellow, and Green, plus Black.

Inside, the iPhone 15 is driven by a 3.5 GHz "Apple A16 Bionic" processor, which includes a six-core CPU (two performance and four efficiency cores), a 5-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. It has 6 GB of RAM and storage options of 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB. The device also supports 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 with 2x2 MIMO, 5G wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, "second generation" Ultra Wideband, NFC for Apple Pay, "Express Cards with power reserve" for compatible transit systems, Crash Detection, Emergency SOS and Roadside Assistance via satellite, a USB-C port, and dual physical nano-SIMs.

Apple's battery life estimates for the iPhone 15 are up to 80 hours of audio playback, 20 hours of video playback, and 16 hours of streamed video playback.

In mainland China, this model of the iPhone 15 was initially priced at RMB 5999, 6999, and 8999 for the 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB storage capacities, respectively. It was also offered on a two-year financed contract for RMB 250, 292, and 375 per month.

On September 9, 2024, Apple reduced the price to RMB 5399, 6399, and 8399 for upfront payment, or financed over a two-year contract for RMB 225, 267, and 350 per month, respectively.
