It should be noted that this A1778 iPhone 7 model is compatible with FDD-LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30, along with TD-LTE bands 38, 39, 40, and 41. It is designed for AT&T and T-Mobile in the US (lacking support for CDMA networks like Verizon's and Sprint's), but also supports carriers in Canada, the UK, Australia, the EU, and nearly every other country except China, Hong Kong, and Japan.
Regardless of carrier, all iPhone 7 models feature a 4.7-inch widescreen multitouch LED-backlit 1334x750 "Retina HD" display (326 ppi, 625 cd/m2) and a solid-state, taptic-engine-powered "clickless" Home button. It includes a rear 12-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization, an f/1.8 aperture, a six-element lens, and wide color capture, plus a front 7-megapixel "FaceTime HD" camera that supports 1080p video.
The iPhone 7 has an aluminum body and is rated IP67 for splash, water, and dust resistance (not waterproof). It features stereo speakers and a Lightning port but omits a traditional headphone jack. Initially, it came in five colors: "silver," "gold," "rose gold," "black" (matte), and "jet black" (glossy), with Apple noting the jet black finish could show micro-abrasions. A (PRODUCT) RED Special Edition was available from March 21 to September 12, 2017.
Internally, the iPhone 7 is powered by a 64-bit quad-core "Apple A10 Fusion" processor (two high-performance, two high-efficiency cores), 2 GB of RAM, and 32 GB, 128 GB, or 256 GB of storage. (Jet black and red were initially 128/256 GB only; a 32 GB jet black model was added and the 256 GB option was discontinued for all colors on Sept 12, 2017). It also supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, LTE (4G), and NFC for Apple Pay.
Apple estimates the iPhone 7 delivers up to 40 hours of audio, 14 hours of 3G talk time, 12 hours of 3G/LTE internet use, 14 hours of Wi-Fi internet use, 13 hours of wireless video, and 10 days of standby.
In the US, this iPhone 7 was initially sold unlocked but subsidized by AT&T on a two-year contract for US$199 (32 GB), US$299 (128 GB), or US$399 (256 GB). Unlocked and contract-free, it was initially US$649, US$749, or US$849 for AT&T or T-Mobile. AT&T also offered it on an "iPhone Upgrade Program" lease (US$32.41-$40.75/mo) and "Apple iPhone Installments" (US$27.04-$35.37/mo).
