All iPhone 11 Pro Max models have a 6.5-inch (diagonal) haptic-touch enabled OLED "Super Retina XDR" display (2688x1242, 458 ppi, 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio) that occupies nearly the entire front of the device. It features four cameras. The front-facing "TrueDepth" camera, located in the "notch," supports "Advanced Face ID," takes 12-megapixel photos, records 4K video, and has software features like Portrait mode. The rear is equipped with a triple-camera system, all 12-megapixel and 4K-capable: an Ultra Wide (f/2.4 aperture, 120-degree field of view), a Wide (f/1.8 aperture), and a Telephoto (f/2.0 aperture) camera. Like the smaller Pro model, it also introduces a Night Mode, enhancing the HDR and portrait features of its predecessors.
The iPhone 11 Pro Max features a stainless steel case with a glass front and back. It is IP68-rated for splash, water, and dust resistance, capable of withstanding a maximum depth of 4 meters for up to 30 minutes. It is offered in four color choices: Gold, "Space Gray," Silver, and "Midnight Green."
Under the hood, the iPhone 11 Pro Max is powered by a 64-bit, 7 nm 2.66 GHz "Apple A13 Bionic" processor with six cores (two performance, four high-efficiency) and a "third-generation Neural Engine." It includes 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB of flash storage. Connectivity features include 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 with 2x2 MIMO, Gigabit-class LTE with 2x2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, Ultra Wideband for "spatial awareness," NFC for Apple Pay, "Express Cards with power reserve," and dual SIMs (one hardware nano SIM and one software-based eSIM).
Apple's battery life estimates for the iPhone 11 Pro Max are "up to" 80 hours of audio playback, 20 hours of video playback, and 12 hours of streamed video. It also supports Qi-compatible "wireless" (inductive) charging.
While pricing varies by country and carrier, in the UK, the unlocked and contract-free version originally cost £1149, £1299, and £1499 for the 64 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB storage capacities, respectively. Trade-in discounts and a variety of payment plans were also available in different countries.
