Every iPhone 14 Plus model has a 6.7-inch (diagonal) haptic-touch enabled "Super Retina XDR" display (2778x1284, 458 ppi) that occupies nearly the entire front. It features three cameras. The front-facing "TrueDepth" camera, located in the "notch," supports Face ID, has an f/1.9 aperture, captures 12-megapixel photos, and records 4K video. The rear includes a dual-camera system with 12-megapixel, 4K-capable Main (f/1.5 aperture) and Ultra Wide (f/2.4 aperture, 120-degree field of view) cameras. Apple promotes these cameras as featuring a new "Photonic Engine" for improved low-light performance. The rear cameras also introduce a new "Action mode" for enhanced motion correction and an improved "Cinematic mode" with simulated depth effect, now supporting 4K (30 fps, 24 fps).
The iPhone 14 Plus is built with an aluminum case with flat sides and a glass front and back. The front is protected by a "Ceramic Shield" cover for durability, and the back has an integrated "MagSafe" magnetic charging connection. It is IP68-rated for splash, water, and dust resistance (up to 6 meters for 30 minutes). It was initially offered in five colors—(pale) Blue, (pale) Purple, "Midnight" (black), "Starlight" (warm gray), and (PRODUCT) RED—with a sixth color, Yellow, added on March 7, 2023.
Internally, the iPhone 14 Plus is powered by a 3.2 GHz "Apple A15 Bionic" processor with a six-core CPU (two performance, four efficiency), a 5-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. It has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB of storage. It also supports 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 with 2x2 MIMO, 5G wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, Ultra Wideband for "spatial awareness," NFC for Apple Pay, "Express Cards with power reserve," Crash Detection, Emergency SOS via satellite, and dual eSIMs (it does not support any hardware SIM cards).
Apple's battery life estimates for the iPhone 14 Plus are "up to" 100 hours of audio playback, 26 hours of video playback, and 20 hours of streamed video.
