In the US, this "CDMA" A1456 iPhone 5c was initially sold subsidized and locked to Sprint with 16 GB or 32 GB of storage for US$99 or US$199, respectively, with a two-year contract. On September 9, 2014, Apple replaced the 16 GB and 32 GB versions with an 8 GB model, which was available for free when locked to Sprint. This model was completely discontinued on September 9, 2015.
