Overview

Be aware that this A2645 iPhone 13 Pro Max supports 5G NR bands n1, n2, n3, n5, n7, n8, n12, n20, n25, n28, n30, n38, n40, n41, n48, n66, n77, n78, and n79. It does not support 5G NR bands n29 (700d MHz) and n71 (600 MHz), nor 5G NR mmWave bands n258, n260, and n261. This device is designed for carriers in Russia, as well as Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, but is technically functional with carriers globally.

All iPhone 13 Pro Max models have a 6.7-inch (diagonal) haptic-touch enabled "Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion" (2778x1284, 458 ppi, 120Hz refresh rates) that nearly fills the entire front. It features four cameras. The front "TrueDepth" camera, located in the "notch," supports Face ID, captures 12-megapixel photos, and records 4K video. The rear includes a 4K-capable "pro 12 megapixel camera system" with Telephoto (f/2.8), Wide (f/1.5), and Ultra Wide (f/1.8, 120-degree field of view) lenses.

In contrast to its predecessors, the iPhone 13 Pro Max's rear camera system boasts larger sensors that reduce noise, allow for faster shutter speeds, and improve low-light photography, while also adding macro support. It also includes "Sensor-shift OIS" for enhanced stabilization. These cameras support a "Cinematic mode" with simulated depth of field (1080p, 30 fps) and compatibility with the "ProRes" codec (1080p at 30 fps for the 128 GB model, and 4K at 30 fps for larger capacities).

The iPhone 13 Pro Max has a stainless steel case with flat sides and a glass front and back. The front is protected by a durable "Ceramic Shield" cover, and the back features an integrated "MagSafe" magnetic charging connection. It is IP68-rated for splash, water, and dust resistance (up to 6 meters for 30 minutes). It is available in four colors: graphite, gold, silver, and "Sierra Blue." This specific model was not offered in "Alpine Green" starting on March 8, 2022.

Internally, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is driven by a 3.2 GHz "Apple A15 Bionic" processor with a six-core CPU, a 5-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. It has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of storage. It also supports 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 with 2x2 MIMO, 5G wireless, Bluetooth 5.0, Ultra Wideband for "spatial awareness," NFC for Apple Pay, "Express Cards with power reserve," and dual SIMs (one physical nano SIM and one software-based eSIM or dual eSIMs).

Apple's battery life estimates for the iPhone 13 Pro Max are "up to" 95 hours of audio playback, 28 hours of video playback, and 25 hours of streamed video.

While pricing differed by country, in Russia, this specific iPhone 13 Pro Max was initially priced at RUB 109,990, RUB 119,990, RUB 139,990, and RUB 159,990 for the 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB models, respectively. This model was discontinued on September 7, 2022.

Evaluation

The iPhone 13 Pro Max A2645 distinguished itself as a unique regional flagship, receiving thoughtful analysis from Eastern European technology publications for its specialized market positioning and distinctive color strategy that reflected Apple's careful adaptation to post-Soviet market dynamics and geopolitical considerations. Professional reviews from Russian and CIS technology experts consistently highlighted the device's robust professional camera capabilities and exceptional battery performance, with many noting the 95-hour audio playback and 28-hour video playback specifications as particularly valuable for users in vast geographical regions requiring extended device autonomy. Technology reviewers across Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan extensively tested the ProRes video recording functionality, reporting excellent performance for documenting cultural heritage projects and professional cinematography work across diverse climatic conditions characteristic of the region. The model's strategic color palette limitation, notably excluding the Alpine Green variant introduced in March 2022, was analyzed by regional market specialists as a significant case study in technology product localization influenced by international relations and supply chain considerations. Business technology analysts frequently cited the device's advanced camera system and macro photography capabilities as essential tools for professionals working in industries critical to the regional economy, including energy, agriculture, and natural resource documentation, while the extended battery life was particularly valued by field researchers and outdoor professionals operating in remote areas with limited charging infrastructure. The model's comprehensive 5G band support optimized for regional carrier networks earned consistent recognition from telecommunications experts, who noted the device's superior performance across varying network infrastructures throughout the Commonwealth of Independent States, positioning it as a specialized professional tool designed for the unique requirements of the Eurasian economic zone.
