Kindly note that this A2649 iPhone 14 model is compatible with 5G NR bands n1, n2, n3, n5, n7, n8, n12, n14, n20, n25, n26, n28, n29, n30, n38, n40, n41, n48, n53, n66, n70, n71, n77, n78, and n79. It is also compatible with 5G NR mmWave bands n258, n260, and n261, which are exclusively supported by this model. While designed for carriers in the United States, it is technically functional with carriers globally, as long as they utilize eSIM, because it lacks support for a physical nano-SIM.
All iPhone 14 models feature a haptic-touch capable 6.1-inch (diagonal) "Super Retina XDR" display (2532x1170, 460 ppi) that almost completely covers the front of the device. It comes with three cameras. The front-facing "TrueDepth" camera, housed within the "notch," supports Face ID, has an f/1.9 aperture, captures 12-megapixel photos, and records 4K video. The rear of the device features dual 12-megapixel, 4K video-capable cameras: a Main camera (f/1.5 aperture) and an Ultra Wide camera (f/2.4 aperture, 120-degree field of view). Apple highlights these cameras as being enhanced by a new "Photonic Engine" for superior low-light performance. The rear cameras also include a new "Action mode" for improved video stabilization and an upgraded "Cinematic mode" with a simulated depth effect that now supports 4K resolution (at 30 fps and 24 fps).
The iPhone 14 has an aluminum casing with flat sides and a glass front and back. The front is protected by a "Ceramic Shield" cover for enhanced durability, and the back integrates a "MagSafe" magnetic charging connector. It has an IP68 rating for splash, water, and dust resistance (maximum depth of 6 meters for up to 30 minutes). The device was initially available in five colors: pale Blue, pale Purple, "Midnight" (black), "Starlight" (a warm gray), and (PRODUCT) RED. A sixth color, Yellow, was added on March 7, 2023.
Internally, the iPhone 14 is powered by a 3.2 GHz "Apple A15 Bionic" processor, featuring a six-core CPU (two performance cores and four efficiency cores), a 5-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. It is equipped with 6 GB of RAM and is available in 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB storage options. The device also supports 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 with 2x2 MIMO, 5G wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, Ultra Wideband for "spatial awareness," NFC for Apple Pay, "Express Cards with power reserve" for compatible transit systems, Crash Detection, Emergency SOS via satellite, and dual eSIMs (it does not support physical SIM cards).
According to Apple's estimates, the iPhone 14 can provide up to 80 hours of audio playback, 20 hours of video playback, and 16 hours of streamed video playback.
In the US, this iPhone 14 initially cost US$799, US$899, and US$1099 for the 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB storage options, respectively, when assigned to a carrier (an additional US$30 was charged if not).
