It's important to know that this A1897 iPhone 8 Plus model supports FDD-LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, and 66, plus TD-LTE bands 34, 38, 39, 40, and 41. It is designed for AT&T and T-Mobile in the US (lacking CDMA support for Verizon/Sprint) but formally supports carriers in Canada, the UK, the EU, and most other countries, excluding Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Japan, and India.

Apple estimates up to 60 hours of audio, 21 hours of talk time, 13 hours of internet use, and 14 hours of wireless video playback. In the US, it was initially sold unlocked and contract-free for US$799 (64 GB) or US$949 (256 GB), with various carrier installment and upgrade plans available. After several price adjustments and storage changes, the iPhone 8 Plus was fully discontinued on April 15, 2020.
