Overview

It's important to understand that this A1589 iPhone 6 model, which works with TD-LTE bands 38, 39, 40, 41 and networks like TD-SCDMA 1900 (F), 2000 (A), and GSM/EDGE, is specifically for the mainland China market on the China Mobile network. While this model does support some UMTS (WCDMA)/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA and FDD-LTE bands, these are officially designated for international roaming purposes only, not for use within mainland China.

Irrespective of the network, all iPhone 6 models feature a 4.7-inch (diagonal) widescreen multi-touch IPS LED-backlit "Retina HD" display with a 1334x750 resolution (326 ppi). They are equipped with dual cameras: a rear 8-megapixel, 1080p "iSight" camera featuring 1.5-micron pixels, an f/2.2 aperture, and "autofocus with Focus Pixels" (phase detection autofocus), as well as a front-facing 1.2-megapixel, 720p "FaceTime" camera.

Initially, the iPhone 6 was available in three metallic finishes: "silver" with a white front and silver aluminum back; "gold" with a white front and gold aluminum back; and "space" gray with a black front and medium-gray aluminum back. All models share a "unibody" design with smoothly rounded sides, reminiscent of the 5th Gen iPod touch, and feature a glass front that curves at the edges for a continuous surface. The "Touch ID" fingerprint sensor is embedded in the home button.

This iPhone 6 model runs on a 1.4 GHz 64-bit "Apple A8" processor, is equipped with 1 GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and came in storage capacities of 16 GB, 64 GB, or 128 GB. Connectivity includes 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0/4.2, LTE (4G), and NFC for Apple Pay transactions. It also has a bottom-mounted headphone jack and uses a "Lightning" port for connecting to computers and power adapters.

Apple's battery life specifications for the iPhone 6 are up to 50 hours of audio playback, 14 hours of 3G talk time, 10 hours of internet use on either 3G or LTE, 11 hours of internet use on Wi-Fi, 11 hours of video playback, and a standby time of 250 hours.
