Overview

Be advised that this A3108 iPhone 15 Pro Max works with 5G NR bands n1, n2, n3, n5, n7, n8, n12, n20, n25, n26, n28, n30, n38, n40, n41, n48, n66, n70, n75, n76, n77, n78, and n79. It does not support 5G NR mmWave bands n258, n260, and n261. This model is designed for carriers in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao, but it is technically compatible with carriers worldwide. Unlike other iPhone 15 Pro Max versions, it completely lacks eSIM functionality and instead supports two physical nano-SIMs.

All iPhone 15 Pro Max models are equipped with a 6.7-inch (diagonal) haptic-touch enabled "Super Retina XDR display" with ProMotion (2796x1290, 460 ppi, 120Hz refresh rates) that covers nearly the entire front of the device. It has four cameras. The front-facing "TrueDepth" camera, located in the "Dynamic Island," supports Face ID, captures 12-megapixel photos, and shoots 4K video. The rear has a "Pro camera system" featuring a 48-megapixel "Main" camera, a 12-megapixel "Ultra Wide" camera, and a 12-megapixel "5X Telephoto" camera (tetraprism, 120 mm). The camera system also introduces a new 24-megapixel "super-high-resolution" default, enables users to choose between three common focal lengths (24 mm, 28 mm, and 35 mm), and supports 48-megapixel HEIF images for 4x higher resolution than previous models.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max is constructed with an "aerospace-grade" Titanium frame featuring contoured edges over an aluminum "substructure," with a glass front and back. The front is protected by a "Ceramic Shield" cover for durability, and the back includes an integrated "MagSafe" magnetic charging connector. It is rated IP68 for splash, water, and dust resistance (up to a maximum depth of 6 meters for 30 minutes). It is available in four subdued "Titanium" color options: Natural, Blue, White, and Black.

Internally, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is powered by a 3.78 GHz "Apple A17 Pro" processor, with a six-core CPU (two performance and four efficiency cores), a 6-core GPU, a 16-core Neural Engine, "hardware-accelerated ray tracing," and a "dedicated AV1 decoder" for more efficient video streaming. It includes 8 GB of RAM and is available with 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of flash storage. It also supports 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6E, 5G wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, Thread networking, second-generation Ultra Wideband, NFC for Apple Pay, "Express Cards with power reserve" for compatible transit systems, Crash Detection, Emergency SOS and Roadside Assistance via satellite, a USB-C port, a new "Action" button that replaces the former ring/silent switch, and dual physical nano-SIM support (with no eSIM functionality at all).

Apple's battery life estimates for the iPhone 15 Pro Max are up to 95 hours of audio playback, 29 hours of video playback, and 25 hours of streamed video playback.

In mainland China, this particular iPhone 15 Pro Max was initially priced at RMB 9999, 11,999, and 13,999 for the 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB storage options, respectively. It was also available on a two-year financed contract for RMB 417, 500, and 583 per month.
